Stephen M. Reck

Stephen M. ReckStephen M. Reck has practiced law in southeastern Connecticut since 1991 and established the Law Firm of Stephen M. Reck, LLC in 2006.  He handles all types of personal injury and wrongful death cases, including auto and motorcycle accidents; trucking accidents; construction accidents; defective product cases; dog bite claims; fall downs; medical malpractice; negligent security and other defective premises claims; nursing home abuse or neglect cases; and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims.    For a list of some of his successful results, click here.

Attorney Reck strives to protect the rights of the injured by properly preparing their case and, if necessary, taking their case to trial. He works towards maximizing his client's recovery. His staff is easy to talk to and easy to get a hold of when there are questions. Attorney Reck has full time, experienced paralegals to assist you, gather your medical records, and help organize your case.  Attorney Reck has worked with medical experts, economists, and liability experts from all over the country, and often calls upon them at trial to help prove his client's case.  He has numerous examples of cases in which the insurance companies have offered his clients nothing or almost nothing, yet Attorney Reck won their cases by rejecting the insurance company's offers and by taking the cases to trial.

Attorney Reck attended Quinnipiac College School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, and received his Juris Doctor degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 1991. In 1995, he obtained his LLM Degree from Columbia University School of Law, where he was designated a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.  He is admitted to practice in Connecticut state and federal courts and is also admitted to practice in Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Stephen Reck is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the New London County Bar Association.  He is a frequent seminar presenter to attorneys and bar associations on topics including jury selection and trials, and for several years served as adjunct professor at Quinnipiac College School of Law where he instructed students in “Legal Skills.”

Attorney Reck is actively involved in his community, including serving as president of the Holly Green Condominium Association and as a Little League coach for the North Stonington Little League.  He has testified before the legislature on injury cases and works to prevent tort reform laws and medical malpractice reform from destroying a person’s right to receive fair compensation before a jury.  He often assists new lawyers on trial techniques and jury selection.

He and his family reside in North Stonington.
